Chagga Celebrates Mowzey Radio’s Legacy, Calls Him a Musical Genius Who Wrote 3–4 Hit Songs a Day
Legendary artist and songwriter Chagga has paid heartfelt tribute to the late Mowzey Radio, describing him as one of the greatest songwriters Uganda has ever produced. According to Chagga, Radio possessed an unmatched gift for creating timeless music often writing three to four songs in a single day, each turning out to be a massive hit.
Chagga, who worked closely with Radio during the golden days of the Goodlyfe Crew, revealed that the singer’s creativity and lyrical depth were extraordinary. “Radio could walk into the studio in the morning and by evening, we’d have several complete songs all potential chart-toppers,” he said.
He further noted that Radio’s talent went beyond performance, as his songwriting inspired many artists across East Africa. “He wrote from the soul his words connected with people in a powerful way. That’s why his music still lives on today,” Chagga added.
