David Lutalo Cries Out as Fraudsters Use His Name to Scam Fans

Ugandan singer David Lutalo has raised concern over individuals allegedly defrauding his fans while posing as part of his management team.

The “Da Hares” boss recently became a trending topic on social media after appearing in a TikTok Live session where he shared his personal phone number, inviting fans and promoters to contact him directly for bookings. The move sparked widespread debate, with many questioning why an artist of his stature would publicly give out his private contact.

Responding to the criticism, Lutalo clarified that his decision was driven by growing frustration with impostors who have been exploiting his name to scam unsuspecting fans. According to the singer, some of his former associates continue to present themselves as his official contacts, despite no longer working with him.

He specifically pointed to a former manager identified as Nasser, accusing him of giving out his own number to clients seeking to book Lutalo, ultimately leading to cases where fans lose money under false pretenses.

Lutalo revealed that multiple people have already been affected, prompting him to take matters into his own hands by directly sharing his contact to ensure transparency and protect his supporters.

The singer also suggested that there could be a deliberate effort to tarnish his reputation, claiming that certain individuals are fueling online criticism against him. He hinted at exposing those involved at the right time, warning that he is closely monitoring the situation.

Despite the backlash, Lutalo remains firm on his decision, emphasizing that his priority is safeguarding his fans from fraud and restoring trust in his brand.
