Jacob Omutuuze Blasts Weasel Manizo

Media personality DJ Jacob Omutuuze has strongly condemned singer Weasel Manizo for celebrating his defeat in the recently concluded elections, saying the Goodlyfe artiste lacks the moral authority to comment on such matters.

Omutuuze, who contested for the Bunamwaya Division LC3 seat but lost to Betty Namala, said he was deeply disappointed by Weasel’s remarks, especially given the violence that reportedly surrounded the electoral process.

The bad blood between the two figures dates back years to their time around the Goodlyfe camp, with their rivalry often playing out publicly. Weasel was among those who openly predicted and celebrated Omutuuze’s loss when he joined active politics.

Reacting to Weasel’s comments, Omutuuze did not mince words, describing the singer as irresponsible and insensitive. “Weasel is a sick man with problems. We cannot involve him in conversations with sane people. A person who has never held office has no right to speak,” Omutuuze said “People’s lives were lost in the elections, families lost their children, and then you see someone joking about it. It’s disturbing.”

He further accused Weasel of lacking discipline and seriousness, adding that he could not take his remarks seriously. “He is always drunk, always vulgar in his videos, and records them without shame. Someone who doesn’t even remember his child’s birthday should let such issues go,” he added.

Reflecting on his political journey, Omutuuze revealed that the election period left him traumatized. He alleged that several of his polling agents were beaten, while others ended up in prison during the process.
