Kampala Authorities Urge Bobi Wine to Limit Gatherings Amidst Terror Concerns.

Anderson Burora, Rubaga's Deputy Resident City Commissioner, has cautioned National Unity Platform leader, Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, against hosting large gatherings in Kampala due to current terror concerns.
Kyagulanyi, set to complete the initial phase of his mobilization in Arua, has plans to initiate similar campaigns in various districts, including Kampala and Wakiso. Speaking to the media in Kampala, Burora emphasized that while the government isn't against Kyagulanyi's tours, there are set guidelines in light of the ongoing terror threats.
"Kyagulanyi can proceed with his tours. However, he needs to specify the locations of his meetings, their nature, among other specifics. Owing to the security concerns, certain areas like markets, city squares, schools, and bus stations will be off-limits," Burora stated.
Burora also criticized some opposition figures for politicizing the terror alerts, accusing them of misleading the public. Concurrently, police officials have urged Kyagulanyi to manage crowd sizes and avoid potentially risky situations.
"While the National Unity Platform supporters might have concerns about these assemblies, our priority as the Joint Security Agencies remains the potential terror threats which could endanger Kyagulanyi and his followers. We have noticed that certain NUP affiliates might release misleading information in reaction to our directives," the police commented.
As of now, authorities haven't halted any of Kyagulanyi’s mobilization initiatives.
