Pretty Nicole Sparks Controversy, Labels Vyroota and Alien Skin as “Faded Artists
Social media personality Pretty Nicole has once again ignited controversy in the Ugandan entertainment industry after branding popular musicians Vyroota and Alien Skin as “faded artists” during a fiery TikTok livestream.
In her live session, Nicole claimed the two stars had lost their musical spark and consistency, arguing that their recent work lacks the energy and creativity that once defined their rise.
Where are the hits? The vibe is gone,” Nicole remarked. “People move on fast in this industry. If you’re not releasing good music, the audience forgets you and that’s what has happened to Vyroota and Alien
Her comments quickly spread across social media, drawing mixed reactions from fans and industry players. Supporters praised Nicole for “saying the truth others fear to speak,” while critics accused her of seeking attention and disrespecting established artists.
Alien Skin, known for his rebellious street style and viral hits, has remained silent on the matter. However, his fans took to social media to defend him, describing Nicole’s remarks as “cheap clout chasing.”
Vyroota, meanwhile, appeared to respond indirectly through a post on X (formerly Twitter), writing:
"Real talent doesn’t fade. Noise does.”
The cryptic message has been widely interpreted as a calm rebuttal to Nicole’s criticism.
Pretty Nicole, whose social media presence thrives on unfiltered commentary about celebrities, continues to polarize audiences. While some admire her candor, others warn that her blunt approach could alienate key figures in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
Analysts suggest this latest clash highlights the growing divide between traditional musicians and social media influencers who are increasingly shaping public opinion in the digital era.
As tensions simmer, fans are now waiting to see whether this war of words will inspire lyrical comebacks, diss tracks, or a renewed effort from the accused artists to reclaim their do
minance on the charts.
